Walker: Independence is a prequel spin-off of The CW’s Walker and an American television drama Western series, starring Jared Padalecki, is a precursor to the CW series. Katherine McNamara, who plays Abby Walker, a relative of Padalecki’s Cordell Walker who lived in the late 1800s, is the show’s star. The first episode of the series was premiered on October 6, 2022, on The CW.

Plot

This origin story, which is set in the late 1800s, follows Abby Walker, a wealthy Bostonian whose husband is murdered right in front of her while they are traveling to the West, as she crosses up with Hoyt Rawlins, a charming outlaw looking for a reason to live. The destination of Abby and Hoyt’s voyage is Independence, Texas, a little community with a promising future.
