The Sandman is an upcoming American fantasy television series starring Tom Sturridge in the lead role, which is created by Gaiman, David S. Goyer, and Allen Heinberg. This series is based on the comic book written by Neil Gaiman which was published by DC Comics. Gwendoline Christie, Vivienne Acheampong, Boyd Holbrook, Charles Dance, Asim Chaudhry, and Sanjeev Bhaskar are among the cast members. The series was shot in the United Kingdom. The series will premiere on Netflix on August 5.

Plot

Morpheus, the king of dreams and one of the seven Endless, is kidnapped in an occult ritual in 1916. Morpheus escapes after being imprisoned for 106 years and sets out to restore order to his kingdom of the Dreaming.
