The Boys was officially renewed for a fourth season by Amazon in June, shortly after the fourth episode of season three was released. Eric Kripke, the creator of The Boys TV series, has revealed the title of the Season 4 opening episode, “Department of Dirty Tricks”. Based on the Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson comic series, it devotes as much screen time to its brutal punch-ups as it does to Karl Urban’s quirky cockney accent. The season three conclusion teased the path of season four. Victoria Neuman (Claudia Doumit), under Homelander’s (Anthony Starr’s) control, is on her way to becoming US Vice President, echoing the comics’ storyline involving President Dakota Bob and former CEO of Vought and Vice President Victor Neuman.
Filming began in August 2022, with Antony Starr confirming the announcement with a photo of the cast gathered, tweeting: “Season one. It was so long ago. Season four, here we go ;)”.A release date has yet to be confirmed, but the fourth batch of episodes is likely to arrive in 2023.
