Shabaash Mithu is an upcoming biographical sports drama film directed by Srijit Mukherji and produced by Viacom18 Studios. Taapsee Pannu plays Mithali Raj, the former Test and One-Day captain of India’s women’s national cricket team. It details Mithali’s ups and downs in life, as well as her success. The film is set to be released on July 15, 2022.

In the trailer, Taapsee Pannu plays Mithu, a girl who wants to be a cricketer. Everyone mocks her for her wish, except her coach, played by Vijay Raaz. He recognizes her potential and accepts her into the girl’s cricket team. Mithu, on the other hand, has it tough because she is bullied and ridiculed.
