Shaakuntalam is an upcoming Indian Telugu-language mythological drama film, directed by Gunasekhar. S and produced by Neelima Guna under the production of Gunaa Teamworks while Dil Raju Productions distributed it. Based on Kalidasa’s popular play Shakuntala, the film stars Samantha in the titular role of Shakuntala and Dev Mohan as Dushyanta, King of the Puru Dynasty, with Mohan Babu, Gautami, Aditi Balan, and Ananya Nagalla in supporting roles. The music was composed by Mani Sharma. The film will hit theaters on August 13th, 2022.

Story

This lovely story revolves around the love of King Dushyanta and Shakuntala. Ramoji Film City, Ananthagiri Hills, and Gandipet Lake were all used as locations for the film.
