Reign season 5 is an upcoming English-language historical romantic drama television series. The series was created by Laurie McCarthy and Stephanie Sengupta. The plot is set in the late sixteenth century and revolves around Mary, Queen of Scots’ rise to dominance in the French court. On December 7, 2016, the creators stated that there would be no fifth season, but suddenly the trailer for season 5 has been released on September 11. However, no official release date has been announced.

Mary, Scotland’s adolescent queen, travels to France to marry a prince and win a strategic alliance for her country. However, as she navigates palace intrigue in the hazardous realm of the French court, Mary must gather her ladies-in-waiting and fortify herself as she rises to power.
