Raksha Bandhan, starring Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar, is an upcoming Indian Hindi comedy-drama film directed by Aanand L. Rai and produced by Zee Studios, Colour Yellow Productions, and Cape of Good Films. Himanshu Sharma and Kanika Dhillon’s story is about the love, bonding, and attachment between a brother and a sister. The film will be released in theaters on August 11, 2022.
Himesh Reshammiya composed the songs, Irshad Kamil wrote all the lyrics, and Ishan Chhabra composed the background score. Cinematography and editing were handled by K U Mohanan ISC and Hemal Kothari, respectively.

On June 21, Zee Studios released the official trailer for the film on its YouTube channel. In the trailer, Akshay is seen arguing with his fiance (Bhumi Pednekar) about his sisters. He wants to first arrange his sisters’ marriages and then hold his lover’s hand. However, due to rapidly changing circumstances, Akshay finds himself in a terrible quandary, fearing the loss of his love for good. Watch the trailer below,
