Whatsapp is evolving into more than just a messaging app. Women on WhatsApp can now track their menstrual cycle. Sirona, an Indian feminine hygiene company, has developed the country’s first-period tracker for WhatsApp. Users can track their periods by answering simple questions on their phones.
Women can know their period dates easily on their phones. Whataspp has collaborated with Sirona and introduced a new initiative exclusively for women, where they can analyze and track their menstrual cycle.

According to Sirona’s press release, the period tracking tool can be used to track three goals: tracking periods, conceiving, and avoiding pregnancy. Users will be asked to enter information about their periods and previous periods, and the chatbot will keep a record and share reminders and upcoming cycle dates based on the user’s goals. The WhatsApp Business Platform is used to build the period tracker. It is powered by an intuitive chatbot interface, which makes the user experience smooth and engaging.
Sirona also has a separate app that offers a complete ecosystem for menstruators around menstrual health and hygiene. The app also has an in-built period tracker. It is also an open platform to post experiences, queries, and solutions, providing our sisterhood with one place to connect and share. The Sirona app aims to create education, awareness, and utility, and make menstrual hygiene accessible on the go.
The chatbot will then remind the user of upcoming cycle dates based on the user’s goal. According to Sirona, the chatbot was created using the WhatsApp Business Platform. The app will also assist users who are trying to conceive by providing an ovulation cycle update.
It also includes a feature for those who want to avoid pregnancy by highlighting their fertile period. Remember that the accuracy of these reminders is dependent on the information you provide. Any changes in your menstrual cycle could cause the chatbot to be incorrect as well. Users will also be able to edit their information through the chatbot.
