Pathonpatham Noottandu is an upcoming Pan-India drama movie in Malayalam movie that is released on Onam Festival. The film is based on the life of Arattupuzha Velayudha Panicker, who fought oppression of the lower castes by the privileged upper castes. The movie is written and directed by Vinayan. Gokulam Gopalan produced the movie. The musical genius Santhosh Narayanan composes the background score while M. Jayachandran composes the songs. The movie was first announced on 2020, due to covid pandemic movie shooting was delayed. When makers had planned for shooting resumption, second wave of the pandemic started. Finaly the final shooting of the movie wrapped up on November 23, 2021. The movie is released in theatres on Onam Festival i.e on September 8th
The film revolves around the great fighter cum social reformer, Arattupuzha Velayudha Panicker, also called as Ezhava chieftain, who lived in 19th century and fought against the oppression of lower castes by the privileged upper castes.
