Kantara, a cultural and emotional rollercoaster ride with masterpiece work by Rishab Shetty that has elevated the Kannada film industry.
Kantara Movie Review: Kantara movie finally came to theatres on 30th September. It is directed by Rishab Shetty who pilots the plot along with Kishore Kumar, Achyuth Kumar, and Sapthami Gowda among others. Kantara is about the issues faced by the coastal regions that take feudalism, forest encroachment, and environmental protection. It sets against the rural backdrop of forest wealth smuggling. Rishab Shetty has perfectly crafted cultural and traditional elements along with the Bhoota Kola tradition and human kindness overtakes greed. The astonishing visuals and sound effects are blended together to surreal moments for the audience. Finally, the climax hit hard and got an overwhelming performance.
Rishab narrates a tale about the belief system of generations in the coastal region, focusing on the sacred practices of the region with the strong support of the native village nestled in the forest land. He is successful in telling a story of myths, tales, and superstitions in his native dialect.
Kantara has a solid storyline with well-crafted cinematography, screenplay, and BGM with a terrific climax. Dakshina Kannada culture and tradition are beautifully showcased and Vivid colors represent the ethos of the land.
