Jonita Gandhi is an Indian singer and actress. She was born on October 23, 1989, in Delhi. She was born to Sneh Gandhi and Deepak Gandhi. Her family relocated to Canada when she was nine months old. She was raised in Canada. She used to sing classical, western, pop, jazz, and playback in a variety of languages such as Tamil, Malayalam, Hindi, Kannada, Telugu, Bengali, Gujarati, and Punjabi. In the film Chennai Express, she made her singing debut. She is currently starring in the film Walking Talking Strawberry Icecream.
She attended Turner Fenton Secondary School in Canada for her schooling and graduated from the University of Western Ontario. Jonita was always interested in singing, so she studied proper Western and Hindustani classical singing. Then she went to a few singing auditions and was rejected each time. Later, Jonita created a YouTube channel and began sharing her singing videos with Akash Gandhi . The song videos went viral, and as a result, they were given the opportunity to perform a Hindi cover song as a debt. From there until the song Private Party from Don movie, she is giving her all.
