Heartbreak High is an upcoming American series, it is a relaunch of the original 1994 series of the same name, which aired for seven seasons, a social outcast who becomes even more isolated after creating a mural revealing everyone’s hook-ups. The series will release on Netflix on September 14, 2022, and consists of eight episodes.

Plot

Heartbreak High is an adrenaline-pumping journey inside the minds and lives of a group of Australian teens. The revelation of a hidden map that tracks all of the hook-ups during the school year makes its architect, AMERIE (16, rebel, loudmouth – THE HEART), an instant outcast. In order to correct the hypersexual students, the school forces them to participate in a Sexual Literacy Program. Amerie must rehabilitate her reputation while navigating love, sex, and heartbreak with her new pals, outsiders QUINNI (neuro-divergent truth bomb – THE BRAINS) and DARREN (ambitious, super-dooper gay – THE CLITORIS).

Among the cast members are Ayesha Madon, James Majoos, Chloe Hayden, Asher Yasbincek, Thomas Weatherall, Josh Heuston, Chika Ikogwe, Will McDonald, Gemma Chua-Tran, and Rachel House, while the film is created by Hannah Carroll Chapman, with Simon Ozolins and Drew English providing cinematography respectively.

Amerie is on the edges of her high school’s social sphere, which only increases as she makes a mural describing the sexual histories of the majority of her classmates. In the brief clip, she dissolves old relationships, meets new ones, and learns how to go forward through the sorrows of getting older.
