Gopika Govind is the first tribal air hostess from Kerala. She was born in Alakkode, Kerala, in 1998 to P Govindan and Viji. Gopika dreamed of becoming an air hostess when she was 12 years old. After 12 years, Gopika is the state’s first ST woman to work as an air hostess. She kept the dream to herself, not even her parents knew. Gopika assumed her family couldn’t afford the course. She later learned about the government’s ST education program. At Dream Sky Aviation Training Academy in Wayanad, she earned a diploma in IATA customer service care. In addition to a master’s degree in chemistry. She then completed her training with Air India in Mumbai. Soon Gopika will join Air India Express.
