Darlings is an upcoming Hindi-language black comedy-drama film written and directed by Jasmeet K Reen with a screenplay by Parveez Sheikh. It is Alia’s first project as a producer, and it is produced by Gauri Khan, Alia Bhatt, and Gaurav Verma. Alia Bhatt, Shefali Shah, Vijay Varma, and Roshan Mathew star in the film. It is set to be released on Netflix on August 5, 2022.

Plot

The story is set against the backdrop of a conservative lower-middle-class neighborhood in Mumbai, and it explores the lives of a quirky mother-daughter duo who, despite extraordinary circumstances, find courage and love as they try to find their place in the world.

Darlings Movie OTT release date  

After Netflix’s acquisition of the film’s rights in February 2022, Red Chillies Entertainment announced that the film would skip theatrical release in favor of a digital premiere as a Netflix original film on August 5, 2022.
