Cars on the Road is a new animated web series from the United States starring Owen Wilson as Lightning McQueen and Larry the Cable Guy as Mater. Steve Purcell wrote the show, and Marc Sondheimer produced it under the Pixar banner for Disney Plus Hotstar. The series was directed by Purcell, Bobby Podesta, and Brian Fee. The story of the anthropomorphic talking vehicles is based on the Cars franchise. On September 8, you can watch all of the Cars on the Road episodes on Disney Plus Hotstar.

Plot

The series follows Lightning McQueen and his best friend Mater on a cross-country road trip across the United States as they head east to attend Mater’s sister’s wedding. It takes place in a world populated by anthropomorphic talking cars and other vehicles. The episodes will show characters in various situations, such as being chased by dinosaur-like cars. It will take place in new locations and feature new characters, as well as the return of previously established franchise characters.
