Bamba Bakya is a Playback singer who predominately works in Tamil Film Industry. He was born on 31st October 1972 in Chennai. Bakya renamed his name as Bamba Bakya as suggested by A R Rahman, as Bakya’s voice is similar to South African singer Bamba. Bakya changed his dressing style like Bamba. After his debut song ” Keda Kari ” in Ravanan movie, he sang many songs in movies like 2.0, Sarkar, Sarvam Thaala Mayam, Action, Anbarivu etc. He got famous after he sang ” Simtaangaran” for the Sarkar movie. He recently sang the “Ponni Nadhi” song alongside A R Rahman in Ponniyin Selvan Movie, the song is an instant hit. Bamba Bakya died due to cardiac arrest on September 2. At the age of 49, his death had a huge impact on the film industry. People on Twitter began to express their condolences for him.
